Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
1 kg Tomato
1 teaspoon Oil
2 Bay Leaf
1 teaspoon Cumin
1 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste
2 teaspoon Besan flour
2 teaspoon (Stems? coriander
1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
1/4 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
As per taste Salt
3 cups ( 750 ml) Water

A very Healthy & flavorful soup for winters.  Warm-up your winter evenings with a bowl of freshly made Tamatar ka Shorba – Spiced Indian Tomato soup.

Cut the tomatoes in cubes.

In a large kadai heat oil and saute 2 bay leaf, 5-6 cloves, and 1 tsp cumin seeds.

Add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw aroma disappears.

Now add 2 tsp besan and roast until the besan turns aromatic.

Further, add 2 tbsp coriander stem and tomatoes.

Additionally, add turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder, crushed black pepper and salt.

Saute for 5 minute until the spices turn aromatic.

Now add 2 cup water over and boil for 30 minutes.

Now mash the tomatoes well to extract the juice from it.

Pass the mixture through a sieve and extract the juice. Blend the remaining tomato pulp.

Add the extracted juice and pulp in a wok. Add 1 cup water and cook on a low flame for 5 minutes.

Now adjust the seasoning.
